Folding stairs (be also known as folding stairway, foldable stairs, foldable staircase, retractable stairs,etc) is specially designed to provide safe and efficient means of access between a loading platform and road or rail tankers.
Folding Stairs Applications:
Safe access from fixed platforms to the top of a Road Tanker, Rail Tank Wagon, or ISO Container to:
- Inspect the tanker for safety and maintenance.
- Load the tanker by loading arm.
- Check the load and take samples.
- Wash or decontaminate compartment.
Features:
1. Fully balanced self-leveling steps to automatically adjust to varying tanker heights
2. Full galvanized treatment, anti-corrosion, rust-proof and durable
3. Safety handrails and knee guards fitted as standard
4. Hinged safety step to protect against accidentally trapping toes
5. Pull-rope to assist returning stairs to ‘parked’ position
6. Vertical locking device for ‘parked’ position with foot-pedal release
7. Extended outboard step to provide additional area and stability, for stepping onto the tanker top

nosing for installation on steel grated stairs utilising Staircare’s stainless
steel 316 saddle clip assemblies.
Staircare SC-R70 is suitable for use in the harshest environments. During
the manufacturing process silicon oxide is incorporated to form an
inseparable gritted surface.
Staircare supplied Monadelphous with 100 units of SC-R70 #5 grit within
one day of receiving the order. The treads were air freighted to the platform
